Day 9 - Barbados

Day 13 - Panama Canal.  Julie hasn't seen anything as rigid as the lighthouse and the palm tree together for a long time!

Day 14 - At sea, towards Acapulco

Day 15 - at sea, water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink!

Yes, we can see the tree!!!  We could not see Day 32, because it never happened, as the ship crossed the Date Line.

Day 33 - still no-one will buy Phil a drink.

Day 34 - Tree goes missing in sea storm - Phil looks at alternative options.

Day 35 - Tree returned by two Jack Tars, but you never know where it's been!

Day 36 - Just to make sure, Phil takes the tree for a precautionary shower.

Day 37 - Auckland, New Zealand

Day 38 - At sea, time to see the Purser

Day 39 - This palm tree needs a lot of liquid

Day 40 - National Front Delegate arrives at Sydney

Day 41 - At Bondi Beach Phil is looking at some bigger palm trees for the return journey.

Day 42 - Too much wine for lunch, results in Phil having to sleep it off on deck.  Other passengers avoided the area.

Day 43 - Phil sleeps on

Day 44 extra - but really day 41

Day 44 -  If I wear dark glasses, I can't see it is pouring with rain!

Day 45 - At Yorkey's Knob, Cairns.  Still raining, but able to read through dark glasses.

Day 46 - At sea.  Phil is wondering whether a change of deoderant might help get other travellers to come closer to him.

Day 47 - At sea.  Julie joins Phil to reassure him that other people are not avoiding him.

Day 48 - At sea.  There seems to be a certain sexual chemistry between Phil and the tree.  Have you noticed how he fondles it?

Day 51 - The nearest Phil and the tree have come to any other passenger is the figure lurking in the corner of the picture.

Day 52 - Hong Kong.  Those sunglasses make Julie look even more alluring!  But I thought she only wore them when it was raining.

Day 53 - Hong Kong Harbour

Day 54 - At Sea.  Before leaving Hong Kong, local Peeping Tom pervert poses as fisherman.

Day 55 - Phil is pissed again and fondling the palm tree with tender affection

Day 56 - South China Sea.  Three Security men guard Phil and the tree from other passengers.

Day 57 - Thailand.  Phil will not be going to Bankock today..  Going to Phuket is also unlikely.

Day 58 - At Sea.  Man in white suit has come at last to take Phil and tree away.

Day 59 - Leaving Singapore

Day 60 - Port Kelang - Tea with the Queen

Day 61 - Penang

Day 62 - Somewhere around the Indian Ocean.

Day 63 - Bay of Bengal.  Reminds me of the old Max Wall joke.

Day 64 - Gulf of Mannar.  Didn't know a palm tree was a climber.

Day 65 - Cochin, India

Day 66 - The Arabian Sea

Day 67 - Does Julie ever take those sunglasses off?

Day 68 - Arabian Sea - Anybody seen la tree'n?

Day 69 - Arabian Sea.  Phil was careful not to toss it off into the swimming pool.

Day 70 - Arabian Sea - 3 days now and Phil hasn't changed his clothes!

Day 71 - Red Sea.  Dressed up for a formal night out

Day 72 - Red Sea.  Did you know it was Palm Sunday yesterday?

Day 73  - Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt - Julie with the usual phallic symbols (and the glasses!)

Day 74 - Suez - Time to disembark, on a day trip to see the Pyramids

Day 75 - In the Med and the Land of Blotto.  Wonder what Helen is doing today?

Day 76 - Greece and off to Athens

Day 77 - Ionian Sea

Day 78 - Mediterranean Sea and the Easter Bunny joins the fun (top left hand corner)

Day 79 - Barcelona - Jule gets them off - the sunglasses that is!

Day 80 - Homeward Bound - Phil and the tree touch foreign soil for the last time on this trip.

Day 81 - On the home "Straight" - so Rock On Tommy - sorry, Gibraltar!

Day 82 - All wrapped up for the run into Southampton

Day 83 - Southampton - You are bound to be deflated when you arrive home after a world cruise ........  'cos where can you go next?

Once there was a Palm Tree. A single palm which travelled around the world in 80 nights. The palm tree now has a friend. And Julie and Phil have a wonderful grandson.Charlie James David arrived at 3.59pm on Friday 11 April 2008 weighing in at a massive 9 pounds 12 ounces.Mother Helen and father Liam are both absolutely delighted.  Baby Charlie is fit and well.  This is the start of our new adventure.

I hate babies.  BUT, this baby is the most clever, amusing, best behaved, good looking baby in the World.  And we know, because we have been around the World!!
