Penny and John's Holiday
Mono Lake is close to the Mono Craters, which are extinct volcanoes. The Lake is very large, but we were able to drive along a dirt track to see the tufa deposits. As in this picture, the result was a surreal landscape.

Yosemite was spectacular. The majestic enormity of the cliffs again impressed us. So much scenic grandeur in such a short space of time.
