On the road to Zion from Bryce Canyon.

This was our fourth visit to Zion and it remains as impressive as ever.  From Bryce you go through the Mount Carmel Tunnel and suddenly emerge into a canyon with huge cliffs and towering rocks.  Before the tunnel is Checkerboard Mesa, pictured above.

We stayed a night at the Zion Lodge, which is inside the Park.  We had a special pass to access the Lodge, whereas all other traffic has to park at the Visitor Center and  a  free bus shuttle takes visitors around.

Wherever we go, there is always a squirrel to be photographed!

There is always water dripping from the huge cliffs.

Then we drove back to McCarron Airport at Las Vegas, for the journey home.  A wonderful holiday in our favourite place on earth.
