BAY CRUISE, SAN FRANCISCO

Lookin back at the City of San Francisco from the Bay.

Although it was the early hours of the morning to us - UK time is 8 hours ahead of California - we decided to sign up for a one hour cruise of the Bay, which involved going under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island.

Going under the Bridge was a great experience and the sunny evening weather was perfect.

Alcatraz Island

We went around Alcatraz Island, last visited by us in 1999, when we landed on the island and went round the prison. You get an i-pod with a commentary, with voices from ex inmates and a fantastic atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in San Francisco!
