Chrysler Sebring

The Chrysler Sebring we hired was super and allowed us to pose around with the top down, like the "oldest swingers in town!" or maybe the "oddest".

Boardwalk at Everglades

At each stop along the Everglades route were boardwalks, where we could go over the grassy swamps and into mangroves and mahogany hammocks. Here at Mahogany Hammock there were mosquitos in the air, but we did not find them a problem in the rest of the Park.

The Everglades

Wildlife was easy to spot and these stork like birds flocked close to the road in the trees and among the grassland.

Alligator at Nine Mile Pond

At Nine Mile pond, this alligator was within a few yards of the shore, but just stayed motionless, waiting for some unsuspecting bird or fish to stray into his area.

The Everglades

Wherever you look, the vastness of the grasslands is in all directions. This was a typical view.

Alligator

There were many alligators at Royal Palm on the Anhinga Trail, some very close to the board-walks.

Stork -like bird

This bird was close to the riverbank and camouflaged by the grasses.

Turtle

Turtles swam amongst the reeds and grasses.

And a variety of birds displayed their presence.
