Dolphin Research Center

There are 16 dolphins at the Center and 2 sea lions.

Dolphin leaping

Each performance lasts about half an hour and the dolphins are put through their paces.

Double bubble

Getting a picture of two in the air was not easy, but there were multi opportunities, as we saw several performances.

Sea Lion

This young sea lion was very well trained. The training process was likened to that of a dog.

Sea Lion

This older sea lion knew all the tricks and happily posed close to tourists for a photograph.

Tail end

The dolphins performed clever tricks like swimming along out of the water.

Like a fish out of water

The trainers had a good rapport with the dolphins and you could tell they had real affection for each other.

Swimming with dolphins

The dolphins knew how to treat individuals, they were much faster pulling men along and very slow with children.

Close up

This is why it was called a Dolphin Splash!.

Jumping for joy

One of many jumps witnessed.
